In this Field Auditor role, you'll make a meaningful impact by ensuring the quality and compliance of Rodan's Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) projects, directly contributing to a smarter and more sustainable energy future. You'll enjoy professional growth through ongoing training and development, keeping your skills sharp and your knowledge up to date with the latest industry standards. Working in a collaborative environment, you'll partner with project managers and installers in a team-oriented setting that values open communication and continuous improvement. With the autonomy to develop audit plans and conduct independent inspections, your recommendations will shape project outcomes and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of electrical meter installations performed by unionized installers to assess compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement audit plans to evaluate installation quality and adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, compliance gaps, and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with project managers, installers, and other stakeholders to address compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, standards, and best practices related to electrical installations and metering technologies.
- Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance auditing skills and knowledge of compliance requirements.
- Bachelor's degree/college degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in auditing, quality assurance, or related roles within the electrical or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in developing audit plans, conducting inspections, and preparing clear, concise reports.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Relevant certifications such as Journeyperson 309A, Journeyperson Meter Technician, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Energy Auditor etc. are a plus.
- A valid Class 'G' Ontario Driver's License, driver's insurance and an excellent driving record.
- Knowledge of and experience with computer software such as Microsoft Office and meter specific software.
- First Aid and CPR certificates and knowledge of EUSA and the OHSA are assets.
