At Zensurance we pride ourselves on first class customer support. At no time is this more important than working with our clients in their time of a claim. Our claims team is continuing to grow, and we are looking for a "player coach" to continuously improve claims services to our clients.

Reporting to the Practice Leader of claims and compliance, the Team Lead of Claims will be responsible for managing a team of claims brokers and improving our systems and processes. In this role, you will also work with our clients and deliver advice, follow ups and guidance with claims.

Responsibilities
    • Claims Support
  • Support and advise clients when they report a claim.
  • Provide empathy and insurance expertise when working with clients who have suffered a loss.
  • Manage and maintain open claims.
  • Serve as a liaison with third-party vendors and follow up on any non-resolved abeyances.
  • Assist with the administration and maintenance of the claims document management system.
  • Support creation, revision, and review of controlled documents such as process flows, job aids, guides and lesson plans related to the claims process.
  • Advocate for the client during the claims process, escalating when necessary.
  • A proactive approach to problems and issues, working ahead of potential challenges.
  • Assist the customer experience team in their activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Leadership
  • Must continue to learn and inspire others to continue to learn as well.
  • Build up others and inspire their colleagues to do things that are more challenging than what they might think they are capable of.
  • Will be accountable for managing and driving performance to exceed company targets, by conducting team meetings and impactful performance plans to elevate results.
  • Must perform one-on-one meetings with each of their direct reports and work to discover action items to help them improve.
  • Actively shadow team members and coach them to lift their performance to achieve desired levels.
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of new talent and set them up for success.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
    • Valid provincial broker's license is preferred.
  • 5+ years of commercial lines insurance experience.
  • 5+ years of claims experience as a broker or adjuster.
  • 1+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Ability to provide empathy and sensitivity during difficult conversations.
  • Able to communicate with clients in a clear manner.
  • Attention to detail and demonstrated flexibility in managing multiple clients at a time.
  • CRM, CAIB or CIP designations an asset.
