Summary

We are seeking a passionate Volunteer Coordinator to join our team in Winnipeg. In this role, you will play a vital part in organizing and managing volunteer activities that support our mission of enriching the lives of seniors. Your leadership will help create a welcoming environment for both volunteers and participants.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, and retention efforts.
  • Develop and implement volunteer programs that align with organizational goals.
  • Supervise volunteers during events and activities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours and contributions.
  • Collaborate with staff to identify areas where volunteers can make an impact.
  • Facilitate communication between volunteers and management.
  • Organize outreach initiatives to promote volunteer opportunities.
  • Evaluate volunteer programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience in supervising or managing teams.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent public speaking and communication abilities.
  • Background in administrative tasks related to volunteer coordination.
  • Leadership experience in a community or non-profit setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with marketing strategies to attract volunteers is a plus.
  • Ability to collect data and analyze program effectiveness.
  • Experience in teaching or training is beneficial.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
