Job DescriptionAECOM is looking for a Billing Specialist to assist the Finance Services team of the DCS and Consulting Services Group. This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement to include a combination of office and remote schedule and will be based in Markham, ON.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepares, reviews, and issues accurate customer invoices in accordance with company policies and contractual terms
- Verify billing data, contracts, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Monitor billing schedules and ensure invoices are submitted on time
- Track, resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, or errors in coordination with project managers, finance and clients
- Maintain organized billing files, records, and client account information
- Process adjustments, credits, and rebills as required
- Generate billing reports and provide analysis to management as requested
- Assist with month-end and year-end activities related to billing
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and industry regulations
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Bilingual: Fluency in English and French, both oral and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Billing and Cost Analyst a plus.
- Prior Experience with Federal and Joint Venture Billing is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Experience building and maintaining strong internal relationships.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy, completeness, and thoroughness.
- Relocation is not available for this position.
- Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.
