Our Medical Lab Technologists provide accurate and timely interpretive and diagnostic specimen testing and reporting. Through accuracy, quality, efficiency and expediting test results, you will contribute to patient well-being and the achievement of better health outcomes. LifeLabs facilities are also known as teaching laboratories and offer opportunities to share knowledge in a collaborative environment. You will have 24-hour medical support through our Medical Science team and Medical Library, and the ability to teach our college and university student placements.
Status: Temporary, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
Days of work: 6-week rotation. All Sundays and variable Monday to Friday. Shift: Variable shifts with times between 6 am and midnight.
Discipline: Microbiology. Successful applicant may be cross trained in the Urinalysis and/or Molecular departments based on operational needs.

What you will bring to the role:
College diploma or University degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience. CSMLS registered and in good standing.Excellent communication skills to enable you to relate with a wide variety of people. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment while adhering to LifeLabs standards of safety, accuracy and efficiency.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail who demonstrates curiosity. Ability to distinguish multiple colors.Strong computer skills in MS Office products, as well as laboratory analyzers. Problem solving skills, including the ability to identify and follow-up on issues.
