What You'll Accomplish in This Role

  • As a hands-on leader, you'll help set the tone for excellence on our job sites, working closely with trades to ensure our high standards of craftsmanship and quality are achieved.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional homes, maintain safe job sites, and ensure outstanding client experiences.
  • Oversee all sub trades, suppliers, and on-site personnel daily, ensuring smooth coordination and accountability.
  • Plan and schedule daily site activities to ensure each project stays on time, on budget, and meets Refine's quality expectations.
  • Use and maintain our construction management software to keep projects organized and progressing efficiently. Experience with Buildertrend is considered and asset.
  • Load and unload materials required for construction as needed.
  • Assist with final site details and finishing touches, experience in framing, drywall, taping, paint touch-ups, and basic carpentry is an asset.
  • Maintain site cleanliness and safety, ensuring all work areas are orderly and free from hazards.
  • Promote a culture of organization and care on-site, leading by example to keep the job site clean and efficient.
  • This position involves approximately 80% hands-on work and 20% project/site management.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining construction schedules.
  • Experience with hand tools.
  • Minimum 3 years of construction experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Solid knowledge of residential construction practices and the Ontario Building Code. Building experience is a strong asset.
  • Exceptional time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • A positive, proactive work ethic with a focus on teamwork, professionalism, and maintaining a productive job site culture.
  • Must have a valid G driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and CSA-approved safety boots.
