WE ARE HIRING IMMEDIATELY for a Driver-Yard Labourer to work in our outdoor warehouse and equipment yard in Dartmouth. The duties of the position include:

  • Pick and prepare scaffolding equipment and gear for jobs
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Operate forklift truck
  • Transport equipment and gear to and from job sites by truck
  • Complete necessary log books and paperwork
  • Service customers
  • Keep warehouse and equipment yard clean and safe, including snow removal as needed
  • Review equipment returns (rentals), check for damage, and prepare for return to the appropriate supplier
  • Complete truck and equipment inspections and identify repairs or service required

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Forklift, Boom Truck, Straight Truck experience
  • Experience with material delivery to congested worksites
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license with clean driver's abstract
  • Experience and ability to perform physical labour (lifting up to 50lbs on regular basis)
  • A strong work history focused on safe work practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Work Location:

  • Dartmouth, NS, Burnside Industrial Park
  • Require reliable transportation to/from work as location is not on direct bus route
  • Full-time hourly position with normal work week of 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm
  • Primarily an outdoor working environment
  • Physically demanding
