The Risk and Compliance Architect will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our IT architecture aligns with regulatory standards and organizational goals. This position is responsible for designing robust risk and compliance frameworks, providing technical leadership, and guiding teams to implement secure and compliant solutions within our financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Analysis: Understand and document functional and non-functional requirements to inform architecture design.
  • Architecture Design: Define system components, integrations, data flows, and technology choices that align with compliance and security standards.
  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure that solutions meet architectural, security, and governance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with developers and project managers to maintain technical consistency across projects.
  • Documentation: Produce comprehensive diagrams, models, and technical guidelines to support architecture decisions.
  • Solution Validation: Assess risks, performance, and scalability of proposed solutions to ensure they meet organizational needs.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in cloud architectures, particularly Azure.
  • Proficient in ServiceNow, including CSM modules.
  • Knowledge of APIs, integration techniques, and middleware solutions.

Domain Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of risk management and compliance domains.
  • Familiarity with Financial Crime (FC) prevention, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, and regulatory standards applicable to financial institutions.

Methodological Skills:

  • Experience with architecture frameworks and requirements management.
  • Proficient in modeling techniques to effectively communicate complex ideas.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to balance technical constraints with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Specific Project Requirements:

  • Experience with complex multi-system projects within the financial services sector.
  • Collaboration with compliance, risk, and audit teams to ensure alignment on project deliverables.
  • Understanding of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors in risk management.

Top Skills Required:

  • Experience in solutions architecture.
  • Experience with Azure cloud services.
  • Experience with ServiceNow.

Assets:

  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
