In accordance with established vision and values of the organization and in accordance with professional standards and code of ethics as outlined by the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia, the Physiotherapist works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing physiotherapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of residents/clients/patients ('the client') and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes in inpatient, outpatient, residential and community settings. The Physiotherapist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the profession, department; participates in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education; and provides work direction to the rehabilitation assistant working with the rehabilitation team.

The Hospital And Health Centre Has 4 Acute Care Beds, 1 Palliative Care Bed, 4 Long-term Care Beds And a 4 Unit Assisted Living Complex. Some Services Provided At The Hospital

Masset
is situated along the shoreline of Masset Sound on Haida Gwaii, formerly known as the Queen Charlotte Islands, and is the largest village on the island. Major industries are logging, fishing and tourism. Masset provides services for a larger rural area with a population of 1,000 local residents and services a surrounding area of 2,300 including Tow Hill (unincorporated) and Old Masset (IR). incorporated in 1961, the Village of Masset (pop. 1,000) is the oldest of the island's municipalities.
