Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in the role of Cook/Kitchen Hand. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic food service environment, contributing to the preparation and presentation of high-quality poutine. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the food industry, excellent serving skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and quality standards
  • Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations
  • Serve customers efficiently and courteously, providing excellent customer service
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations.
  • Follow food safety protocols at all times to prevent contamination and ensure freshness
  • Support team members during busy periods to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
  • Adhere to store policies regarding food presentation, portion control, and hygiene standards

Skills

  • Experience in food service and kitchen environments is highly desirable
  • Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Understanding of food handling procedures and safety regulations
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work collaboratively with team members
  • Comfortable working in cold conditions - it's a walk up window, so you'll feel the chill even inside
  • Reliable transportation or within walking distance to the village.
