About the Role:

VGS Contracting is seeking an experienced Civil Foreman to lead field crews on a variety of civil construction projects, including earthworks, utilities, and infrastructure. The Foreman will be responsible for coordinating site activities, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining schedules, and upholding VGS's standards of safety, communication, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:


•Supervise and lead site crews in daily construction activities.


•Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and schedules.


•Coordinate equipment, materials, and subcontractors to ensure efficient operations.


•Monitor site safety, productivity, and quality control.


•Communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, and field staff.


•Maintain accurate daily reports and assist with project documentation.

Qualifications
:


•5+ years of experience in civil construction, with at least 2 in a leadership role.


•Strong understanding of earthworks, utilities, and grading operations.


•Proven ability to lead and motivate crews in a fast-paced environment.


•Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.


•Valid driver's license and ability to work across the Lower Mainland.
