The Opportunity
We're looking for an enthusiastic and analytical Office Administration Assistant to join our team. This is an ideal role for someone early in their insurance career who wants to learn, grow, and contribute to a fast-paced, tech-savvy brokerage that values both performance and people.
What You'll Do
- Assist with evaluating commercial insurance applications, reports, and financials
- Analyze risks and support in quoting and binding coverage under guidance
- Collaborate with brokers and internal teams to deliver timely, accurate decisions
- Maintain compliance with guidelines and documentation standards
- Learn and apply rating tools and digital platforms
- Prepare, review, and organize insurance paperwork and policy documents.
- Work in a fully digital, paperless environment
- Handle multi-line phone systems, ensuring effective communication with clients and team members.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate filing systems to keep our records organized.
What You Bring
- Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, Insurance, or a related field
- 0–2 years of experience in underwriting, insurance, or financial services
- Interest in pursuing industry designations (CIP, CRM)
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a comfort with digital tools
- A detail-oriented mindset and desire to grow within the insurance industry
Basic qualifications
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Excellent typing skills with a keen eye for detail in proofreading documents.
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
