Nelson BC, Canada Kootenay Co-op Full time $39,500 per year

The Kootenay Co-op is looking for a Produce Clerk to join our crew. If you enjoy working in a supportive team to create stunning displays of organic produce and provide excellent customer service, apply now This position is for 16-32 hours a week and requires availability on evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate would have an interest in gardening or vegetable farming and can safely lift 50lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Attention to detail + impeccable attendance & punctuality
  • Great communication skills + ability to approach problems with a positive attitude
  • Tackling stressful situations in a calm manner

DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stocking and excellent rotation of produce section
  • Keeping accurate signage in the produce department and coolers
  • Cleaning, organizing and maintenance of all produce equipment
  • Assisting efficiently the needs from other departments, staff and customers
  • Develop and maintain efficiency + accuracy in all point-of-sale procedures
  • Assistance with managing spill/spoil, processing donations and discounting product
  • Compliance with all co-op policies and procedures
