JNF Concrete Ltd. is looking for an experienced licensed Diesel Mechanic to maintain and service our fleet of trucks and equipment.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Diagnose malfunctions and follow through with efficient and cost-effective repairs. These may include, adjust/test steering, electrical, cooling, lubricating, braking systems, drive trains, suspensions, power steering units, clutches, transmissions and oil, temperature, gas regulating components, adjust/test/rebuild engines.
· Diagnose hydraulic failures, and repair as needed.
· Assist with roadside repair situations.
· Review and complete repairs identified in vehicle inspection reports.
· Related assigned duties within qualification level, in accordance with all relevant guidelines and requirements.
· Test-drive vehicles to ensure the repairs have resolved the problem when necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
· Valid drivers license, clean abstract and reliable transportation.
· Minimum 3 yr experience on heavy fleet equipment and vehicles.
· Proficient in welding.
· Excellent communication skills; both oral and written.
· Must be proficient in completing paperwork to maintain compliance within MTO rules and regulations.
· Self-motivated, and able to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills.
· Proficient in diagnosing, servicing and repairing mechanical and electrical problems.
· Valid 310S, 310T Truck & Coach or 421A Heavy Equipment Technician.
· $30-$40/per hour
