Senior Director, Analyst – AI-driven Application Integration

As a Senior Director, Analyst specializing in AI-driven Application Integration, you will serve as a strategic advisor and thought leader, guiding global enterprises through the complexities of integrating artificial intelligence into large-scale application ecosystems. You will produce authoritative insights and support clients in navigating the evolving landscape of enterprise application integration, with a particular focus on AI-driven orchestration and automation.

What you'll do:

  • Provide strategic guidance on integration orchestration, architecture, and governance for complex enterprise application environments.
  • Advise clients on integrating AI capabilities into ERP and CRM platforms, for example, SAP, Salesforce, or Oracle.
  • Guide clients on the selection and implementation of AI-augmented autonomous orchestration tools by aiming for an appropriate balance of risk/safety and the most impactful business improvement opportunities.
  • Enable clients to unlock the true value of a composable enterprise application architecture by moving beyond simply having modular building blocks to having those blocks intelligently and independently orchestrated to achieve business outcomes.
  • Lead comprehensive evaluation of orchestration platforms tailored to clients' integration and orchestration needs.
  • Develop and publish in-depth insights on AI-enabled application integration, emerging technologies, and best practices for enterprise-scale transformation.
  • Analyze and compare integration platform vendors that focus on enterprise applications, such as ERP/CRM, with an emphasis on the Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) market.
  • Build credibility as an industry expert to represent Gartner insights, methodology, and strategy.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with agent communication protocols such as MCP, A2A, and ACP.  
  • Actively participate in innovation, ideation, and insight discussions, collaborating effectively with peers in the insight community.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering professional growth and knowledge transfer.

  • Comfortable presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements.
  • Ability to represent Gartner's insights methodology and strategies effectively at all levels.
  • Identify research process improvements or develop new processes that enhance service delivery.
  • Maintain a client-centric approach by actively seeking to engage clients regularly and meaningfully through Gartner insights and interactions.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise application integration, AI, or related fields, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in AI applications within large Enterprise Applications environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of integration technologies, iPaaS solutions, and vendor landscapes.
  • Demonstrate executive presence and establish credibility with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellence in research and writing ability, with strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
