LPN – Medical/Surgical Unit – Hazelton, BC

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Med/Surg team in Hazelton, BC. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to patients recovering from medical conditions, surgical procedures, or acute illnesses. Your ability to combine technical skill with empathy and clear communication will help ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide practical nursing care to patients in a medical/surgical setting
  • Monitor patient health, perform assessments, and administer medications and treatments
  • Support physicians and RNs in implementing care plans and responding to changes in patient condition
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery, and discharge care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing interventions
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and culturally sensitive care environment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated, holistic care

Requirements – What You'll Bring

Current registration and good standing with
BCCNM
as a Licensed Practical Nurse

Minimum 1–2 years of recent acute care or medical/surgical experience

Current
CPR/BLS certification

Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical-thinking skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team

Commitment to patient safety, dignity, and culturally safe care
