Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing daily operations. As a Sous Chef, you will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of food quality and safety while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Duties

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and teamwork.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
  • Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety standards, and restaurant policies.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a culinary role within the food industry, preferably in a restaurant setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and staff supervision.
  • In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food service operations.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests.
