In this role you will play a critical role in supporting Starbucks' strategic hiring objectives by attracting, engaging, and retaining top talent for roles up to the director level. Your work will align with Starbucks' guiding principles and help foster an inclusive and equitable recruitment process that delivers exceptional candidate experiences while meeting business goals.
Candidate Pipeline Development
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will:
- Build and sustain high-quality talent pipelines by implementing effective sourcing strategies and engaging with a diverse pool of candidates.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external networks and professional organizations to attract top talent.
Candidate Experience
- Ensure a positive and seamless experience for all candidates throughout the recruitment process, acting as a key point of contact for communications.
- Build and nurture relationships with high-potential candidates for future opportunities.
Recruitment Strategy And Execution
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand business needs and provide tailored recruiting strategies.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, and offer negotiation, ensuring compliance with Starbucks policies and employment laws.
- Conduct post-interview debriefs, facilitate decision-making, and make competitive job offers.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams, including HR generalists, business unit leaders, and functional managers, to understand organizational goals and workforce planning needs.
- Consult with hiring managers on recruitment best practices, interview techniques, and candidate evaluation.
Technology And Data Utilization
- Leverage applicant tracking systems (ATS) and technology-based recruiting tools to streamline processes and ensure accurate tracking of recruitment activities.
- Analyze and report on recruitment metrics to inform data-driven decisions and continuously improve strategies.
Special Initiatives
- Lead or contribute to special staffing projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing recruitment processes, improving candidate engagement, or supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives.
Recruitment Expertise
We'd love to hear from people with:
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a corporate or agency setting, with success in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Proven experience recruiting for senior-level and complex roles, ideally in high-growth or technical industries.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in creating and implementing recruitment strategies that address current and future business needs.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Talent assessment expertise, including evaluating qualifications, cultural fit, and long-term potential.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights to support hiring decisions.
Tools & Technology
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), technology-based recruiting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience leveraging data analytics to measure and improve recruitment effectiveness.
Preferred Experience
- Bilingual (English/French) is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of compensation, benefits, and workforce planning as they relate to recruitment and talent development.

Compensation & Benefits
The typical hiring range for this position is $77,900 - $106,060 CAD annually. Your base pay will reflect the market location and may vary based on your experience, skills, and internal equity.
