Responsible for organizing and coordinating all general aspects of Agency programs (hiring, evaluation of employees, leadership, supervision of staff, financial management, reporting etc.) Provide administrative and reflective supervision to the Home Visitors and FASD, PCAP, and Thrive/Elder Abuse Mentors so they are able to develop realistic and effective plans to empower families to meet their objectives. Ensure program fidelity by upholding best practice guidelines and Healthy Families Healthy Futures standards. Assure the quality of service being provided, as well as protecting the integrity and respect of the families being served.

  • Support and monitor assigned staff in areas of caseload, productivity requirements, and documentation
  • Provide training, modeling, and coaching to build staffs' capacity to address the needs of their participants
  • Ensure supervised staff maintain accurate, up-to-date records of sessions, child progress, participant contact, and participant goals
  • Provide and document formal evaluations (probation and annual) and informal feedback on individual staff performance including providing constructive feedback to support accountability
  • Utilize individual and peer supervision to evaluate and improve effectiveness in providing services
  • Review participant referrals and assign accordingly
  • Provide regular, strength-based, reflective supervision for staff
  • Identify, arrange, encourage & support staff training and personal and professional development
  • Analyze reports to identify progress in achieving program goals and performance standards and participate in required reporting
  • Develop plans to address areas of concern where we are not meeting goals/targets
  • Collaborate/coordinate with other professionals and agencies
  • Liaise with community partners, as needed, to ensure a clear understanding of the role of HFHF staff, the agency, and referral practices
  • Participate in regional and provincial networks/meetings, councils as required
  • Ensure the fidelity of formal evidence-based models and practices. For example, PCAP, Home Visitation, Circle of Security etc. to support positive outcomes for children and families in agency programs
  • Interview and complete reference checks to recruit qualified, competent staff
  • Be an active participant and contributor to the HFHF management team
  • Provide coverage for frontline positions as requiredProgram Manager

What you'll do:

Necessities for Success:

  • Diploma in Social Work or Human Services considered an asset
  • Respect for the diversity of cultural differences and beliefs
  • Supervisory, program management skills, and supportive experience to provide encouragement in stressful working environments
  • Experience in community development, needs/capacity assessment, conflict resolution, and community engagement considered an asset
  • Skilled in conflict resolution, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care
  • Knowledge of maternal and infant health, parenting education, and concepts of child abuse and neglect
  • Possess knowledge of FASD and working with vulnerable populations
  • Promotion of teamwork, interagency, and interdisciplinary approaches
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using online presentation tools such as Teams and Zoom
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience providing services and supports that embrace the concepts of person-centered, family-centered, and strength-based service provision
  • Combination of education and work experience will be considered

Employment requirements

  • Current clear Child Welfare Record Check and Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Valid driver's license with a reliable car will be required prior to start date
  • Ability to obtain vehicle insurance for business use with 2 million liability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,789.53-$65,000.00 per year
