Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and woodworking, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The Carpenter will be responsible for various tasks including building, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. This position requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
  • Perform flooring installation and restoration tasks as needed.
  • Use power tools safely and effectively to complete projects.
  • Conduct construction estimating to ensure accurate project planning.
  • Assemble furniture or other wooden structures according to specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on larger projects as necessary.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to carpentry work.
  • Familiarity with construction estimating techniques is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Experience in flooring installation is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$39.13 per hour
