Position Summary
Rolls Right Industries Ltd. is looking for experienced and dependable Owner Operators – B Train Flatdeck. This position offers local and regional delivery work throughout British Columbia, including runs to Vancouver Island and the Okanagan, with consistent freight volumes and daily or regular home time.
This is an excellent opportunity for independent drivers who value reliable routes, professional dispatch support, and competitive earnings.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload goods
- Tarp and secure cargo to ensure safety and compliance
- Obtain and carry all permits and documents required for transport (including international routes as needed)
- Operate and drive articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across B.C., including Vancouver Island and the Okanagan
- Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs when required
- Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operations
- Carry out preventive maintenance as needed
- Communicate effectively with central dispatch
- Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
Certifications/Licences/Experience
- Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract
- Proven experience operating flat decks and B-Trains
- Reliable tractor suitable for B-Train operations
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
- Knowledge of driver logbook documentation requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
Work Schedule
- 30-40hrs per week
- Permanent/full-time
Rate: CAD $3/mile
