Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects, with a strong understanding of construction and restoration processes. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications. The Painter will work closely with project managers, carpenters, and other trades to deliver exceptional results on time and within scope.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
  • Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and power tools
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project requirements
  • Perform restoration work on existing structures, including surface repairs and finishing touches
  • Use hand tools such as scrapers, sanders, and caulking guns to complete detailed work
  • Operate rigging and scaffolding safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas
  • Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met
  • Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on site

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting projects
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction plans
  • Ability to operate power tools and hand tools efficiently and safely
  • Strong understanding of surface preparation techniques including caulking and sanding
  • Skilled in the use of rigging equipment for elevated work areas
  • Background in carpentry or related trades is a plus
  • Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines
  • Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions as needed
  • Prior experience in restoration projects is desirable
  • Must be physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working at heights safely
