Picton Investments is seeking a
Software Development Engineer – Frontend

What You'll Do

  • Build
    responsive, accessible, and maintainable UIs
    using and React.
  • Translate designs into
    smooth, consistent interfaces
    with modern CSS, flex/grid layouts, animations, and transitions where appropriate.
  • Work with design libraries such as MUI, Chakra, or Tailwind, and help
    develop or extend custom design systems
    .
  • Integrate cleanly with APIs and dynamic data sources, bringing structure and clarity to complex interfaces.
  • Collaborate closely with designers using Figma, ensuring
    polished, cohesive experiences
    that align with Picton's design language.
  • Explore modern tooling, frameworks, and build systems to
    improve performance, scalability, and developer productivity
    .
  • Contribute to design systems, component standards, and
    UX best practices
    across teams.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years
    of experience building production-grade web applications.
  • Strong understanding of
    JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS fundamentals
    .
  • Hands-on experience with

    and the modern React ecosystem.
  • Commitment to
    web accessibility
    and inclusive design practices.
  • Comfort working with
    RESTful APIs
    and JSON data structures.
  • Good judgment in choosing
    frameworks vs. custom solutions
    for design systems.
  • Familiarity with
    modern CMS platforms

  • Experience using
    Figma or similar tools
    to interpret and collaborate on design work.
  • Awareness of
    authorization mechanisms
    and their impact on frontend architecture.
