Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our Finance team. The Accountant will assist with various accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting senior staff in managing day-to-day accounting and finance functions.

Responsibilities:

· Preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with ASPE

· Prepare and post journal entries for revenue, expenses, and balance sheet items

· Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank transactions and inter- company accounts

· Prepare and maintain pre-paids and fixed assets schedules and amortization

· Prepare monthly management and weekly sales report

· Daily/monthly banking transactions that include account transfers, daily bank deposits and reconciliations of various bank accounts

· Support the finance team with audits, year-end prep, and ad hoc reporting

· Prepare and file Statistics Canada monthly figures, and various other Stats Canada reports.

· Participate in the development and implementation of accounting procedures and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy

· All other duties as assigned to meet Company objectives.

Experience/Qualification

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

· Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance

· Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to manage ad hoc requests
