KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, the IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing effective and efficient support for the users of the City's information technology infrastructure. This role supports the maintenance and enhancement of the operations of the City's software and hardware and assists City staff in the ongoing use of this infrastructure.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a post-secondary diploma in information technology or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years' experience supporting IT hardware and software in a multi-site enterprise environment. Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Intune for endpoint and mobile device management is required, with Azure Endpoint Manager training an asset. This position requires the ability to perform independently, utilizing sound judgment, as well as the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
The position requires a valid NWT Class 5 drivers' license as the occasional need to travel to external offices for meetings or site visits may be required to install site-specific technology.
SALARY
The City of Yellowknife offers a starting salary of $86,829.74 per annum and a fully comprehensive benefits package including monthly housing and vacation travel allowances, and a defined benefit pension plan.
