Job Summary

We are The Bark Rangers. We provide high-quality off-leash group dog walks to dogs on the North Shore. We focus on safety, professionalism, and creating an enriching outdoor experience for dogs on the North Shore.

We are looking for an enthusiastic dog lover to join our team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions and have a passion for all things dog.

This role involves providing exercise to as many as 6 dogs at a time. All the dogs are screened prior to walking with us. They come out on a regular basis, are friendly and super social.

Full training, including pet first-aid certification, as well as a company vehicle will be provided.

Work Hours

Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 8:30am to 11:30am

Responsibilities

  • Pickup and drop off dogs in company provided vehicle
  • Conduct a minimum 90 Minute off-leash walk in select West Vancouver mountain trails
  • Monitor dogs' behavior during walks, responding appropriately to their needs and cues

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with animals or in pet care is preferred but not required (we'll train); a genuine love for dogs is essential
  • Full Driver's license and clean driving history
  • Ability to handle multiple dogs safely and confidently during walks
  • Excellent time management skills to adhere to scheduled walk times
  • Physical ability to walk for extended periods of time in rugged terrain
