About the role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, Industrial Mechanics of the Shovel Crew will have the outstanding opportunity to help maintain our shovels and drills, potentially including North America's only P&H 4800 shovel. This is a full-time hourly position that offers an attractive 4x4 day shift schedule. Come experience what work life balance is all about

The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C is necessary.

In this role you will:

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
• In certain components of this role it is mandatory to wear a respirator which requires an interference free seal
• Work closely with all other trades to acquire the highest availability and reliability of our fleets
• Perform all associated duties including regular scheduled preventative maintenance, couplings, alignments, major component exchanges, and diagnosing break down issues on the Shovel and drill fleet

Requirements:

• Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certification
• Valid driver's license
• Previous mining experience is an asset
• Comfortable working in an outdoor setting in all weather conditions

Hourly Wage: $52.73
Base earnings reflected in salary range includes the hourly wage plus applicable shift premiums and will differ depending on location. It is calculated using a reasonably expected number of hours worked per year.
