We are looking to welcome an experienced and professional certified HVAC Technician to our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and repairing the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems at our various project sites in the Greater Montreal area. They will ensure the comfort and safety of our guests and employees by ensuring optimal functioning of HVAC systems. The HVAC Specialist will collaborate with the construction and maintenance teams to ensure the smooth operation of all HVAC equipment throughout our various properties.
Responsibilities:
Installation and Maintenance:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various HVAC systems, including heating systems, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment.
- Inspect and test HVAC systems to identify malfunctions, defects, or inefficiencies.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing components.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while conducting installation and maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
System Diagnosis and Repair:
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system problems related to HVAC equipment.
- Analyse system performance data, identify issues, and propose appropriate solutions.
- Repair or replace defective components, such as motors, compressors, thermostats, valves, and filters.
- Test repaired HVAC systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to resolve complex HVAC system issues.
Energy Efficiency and Optimization:
- Monitor and assess HVAC system performance, energy consumption, and efficiency.
- Recommend and implement energy-saving measures to improve system performance and reduce energy costs.
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in HVAC technology and energy management.
- Provide recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and equipment inventories.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for the procurement of HVAC equipment and spare parts.
- Assist in preparing reports and documentation for inspections and audits.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an HVAC apprenticeship and vocational training program is required.
- Valid HVAC technician licence or certification
- Proven experience as an HVAC specialist or technician, with expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing various HVAC systems.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and controls.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members, contractors, and vendors.
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays when needed

Responsabilités :
Installation et maintenance :
- Installer, dépanner, réparer et entretenir divers systèmes CVC, y compris les systèmes de chauffage, les unités de climatisation, les systèmes de ventilation et les équipements de réfrigération.
- Inspecter et tester les systèmes CVC afin d'identifier les dysfonctionnements, les défauts ou les inefficacités.
- Effectuer des tâches d'entretien préventif afin de garantir le fonctionnement optimal du système, y compris le nettoyage, la lubrification et le remplacement des composants.
- Veiller au respect des normes et réglementations en matière de sécurité lors des activités d'installation et de maintenance.
- Tenir des registres précis de tous les travaux d'entretien et de réparation effectués.
Diagnostic et réparation des systèmes :
- Diagnostiquer les problèmes électriques, mécaniques et de systèmes de contrôle liés à l'équipement CVC.
- Analyser les données de performance du système, identifier les problèmes et proposer des solutions appropriées.
- Réparer ou remplacer les composants défectueux, tels que les moteurs, les compresseurs, les thermostats, les vannes et les filtres.
- Tester les systèmes CVC réparés pour s'assurer de leur bon fonctionnement et de leurs performances.
- Collaborer avec d'autres techniciens et entrepreneurs pour résoudre les problèmes complexes des systèmes CVC.
Efficacité énergétique et optimisation :
- Contrôler et évaluer les performances, la consommation d'énergie et l'efficacité des systèmes CVC.
- Recommander et mettre en œuvre des mesures d'économie d'énergie afin d'améliorer les performances du système et de réduire les coûts énergétiques.
- Se tenir au courant des tendances, des progrès et des meilleures pratiques de l'industrie en matière de technologie CVC et de gestion de l'énergie.
- Fournir des recommandations pour la mise à niveau ou le remplacement des équipements afin d'améliorer l'efficacité et la durabilité.
Conformité et documentation :
- Veiller au respect des codes du bâtiment, des réglementations et des directives de sécurité en vigueur.
- Tenir des registres précis des calendriers d'entretien, des réparations et des inventaires d'équipements.
- Assurer la coordination avec les entrepreneurs et les vendeurs pour l'acquisition d'équipements de chauffage, de ventilation et de climatisation et de pièces détachées.
- Aider à la préparation des rapports et de la documentation pour les inspections et les audits.
Qualifications:
- Un programme d'apprentissage et de formation professionnelle en CVC est exigé.
- Licence ou certification valide de technicien en CVC
- Expérience avérée en tant que spécialiste ou technicien en CVC, avec une expertise dans l'installation, l'entretien et la réparation de divers systèmes CVC.
- Connaissance approfondie des systèmes, des composants et des commandes de CVC.
- Familiarité avec les codes du bâtiment, les réglementations et les directives de sécurité applicables.
- Solides compétences en matière de dépannage et de résolution de problèmes.
- Capacité à lire et à interpréter des plans, des schémas et des manuels techniques.
- Excellente dextérité manuelle et résistance physique.
- Grand souci du détail et compétences en matière de gestion du temps.
- Communication efficace et compétences interpersonnelles pour collaborer avec les membres de l'équipe, les sous-traitants et les fournisseurs.
- Capacité à travailler dans toutes les équipes, y compris les week-ends et les jours fériés, si nécessaire.
