Toronto, Ontario, Canada DropLab Inc. Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our hardware team. You'll take a hands-on role in bringing up new boards, debugging and testing hardware, and ensuring our designs are ready for scalable manufacturing. This role requires a deep understanding of both analog and digital systems, as well as practical experience building and testing complex electronic assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead board bring-up, debugging, and validation of new hardware designs
  • Design, review, and iterate on PCB layouts and schematics
  • Drive manufacturability and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) efforts
  • Collaborate with mechanical, optical, and firmware teams on system integration
  • Develop and execute automated test procedures to validate performance and reliability
  • Oversee electronics manufacturing and bring-up processes
  • Manage component selection, sourcing, and vendor coordination

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in electronics design and development
  • Strong hands-on experience with board bring-up and debugging (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit design
  • Experience with PCB layout and CAD tools (Fusion / Eagle preferred)
  • Familiarity with DFM and production testing workflows
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience writing hardware tests in firmware using the C programming language
  • Ability to set up automated board tests using the C and/or python programming languages

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with optics or diagnostic systems
  • Experience with STM32 and STM32CubeIDE
  • Basic understanding of Git

About Us

We design advanced diagnostic systems that combine precision analog front ends, optics, and embedded control systems. Our work bridges hardware, firmware, and manufacturing — and we're looking for someone who enjoys working across those boundaries.
