We are looking for a Software Engineer II - iOS Mobile. as part of our iOS development team, you will design, build, and maintain features that enhance user engagement, facilitate communication, and foster vibrant online communities. Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers, you will deliver high-performance, user-friendly mobile experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to seamless experiences in both the standalone Viva Engage app and Microsoft Teams, leveraging a shared framework to drive innovation and impact.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Product, Design, Backend, Analytics, and Research teams to build new, and improve existing capabilities of the application.
  • Constantly work to improve the reliability, performance, security, stability, and overall architecture of the app and underlying tech-stack.
  • Write unit & UI tests including edge-cases, set up and monitor dashboards and alerting, uncover and fix bugs, crashes, and other issues, in order to ensure a robust app.
  • Perform code reviews, design and architecture reviews, and participate in team discussions and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years experience with Swift and/or with native iOS architecture, frameworks, and Xcode.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Swift and familiarity with native iOS architecture, frameworks, and Xcode.
  • Experience developing enterprise or large-scale consumer iOS apps using native iOS technologies.
  • Passion for learning and adopting new technologies, staying current with industry trends, best practices, and innovations in mobile development.
  • Demonstrated understanding of user experience principles and Apple's design patterns, ensuring intuitive and engaging app interfaces.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a positive, inclusive work environment, fostering knowledge sharing and team growth.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $85,000 - CAD $166,800 per year.
