Responsibilities:
- Clearing snow from walkways, driveways, and parking lots using hand tools and power equipment
- Shoveling snow from stairs, and other elevated areas
- Applying ice melt or sand to prevent slips and falls
- Operating snow blowers and plows as needed
- Assisting with salting and de-icing efforts
- Keeping track of weather conditions and responding promptly to snow events
- Maintaining equipment and reporting any maintenance or repair needs
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in snow removal
- Ability to work in cold weather conditions for extended periods of time
- Familiarity with hand tools and power equipment used in snow removal
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
Note: This is a seasonal position, typically during the winter months when snowfall occurs. The schedule may vary depending on weather conditions.
