About the Role:

We're looking for a Workday Project Manager to lead enterprise HRIS/ERP initiatives at Canadian hospitals across payroll and finance focus areas.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the project plan, budget, and deliverables.
  • Manage integrations, testing, and deployment.
  • Partner with HR leaders and Workday consultants.
  • Ensure projects meet business and compliance goals.
  • Manage stakeholders and vendor partner tasks and sprints.
  • Lead Steering Committee meetings related to the project status & risks.

Mandatory:

  • PMP certification required.
  • Strong understanding of finance, HR, payroll and Ministry reporting requirements.
  • Hands-on Workday project management experience.
  • PRISM experience.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Duties

  • Lead project planning sessions and define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets while ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Utilize project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana and more for effective tracking and reporting.
  • Conduct risk management assessments to identify potential challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate team meetings to foster collaboration and ensure all team members are aligned with project objectives.
  • Engage in vendor management to coordinate resources and services needed for successful project execution.
  • Implement best practices in requirements gathering, data analysis, and quality management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare presentations for stakeholders to communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively.
  • Mentor team members in project management methodologies including PMBOK principles.

Qualifications

  • Verifiable experience implementing Workday.
  • Proven experience in IT project management with a strong understanding of hybrid project management (waterfall and agile sprint methodologies).
  • Strong supervisory experience with a focus on team management and leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience in program management with a focus on product development is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments while maintaining a positive attitude towards challenges.
