We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Low Rise Residential Foreman (buildings) to join our dynamic team.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Low Rise Residential Foreman (buildings) with exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills to oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and project management. They must be capable of making quick and informed decisions while effectively leading a team of skilled workers and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations and successful project delivery. Additionally, the candidate should be comfortable using technology and construction management software to enhance project efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites, managing schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate with Construction Manager, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, structural engineered drawings, and construction documents, and perform own layout accordingly.
  • Monitor work progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of skilled workers, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during construction, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, labor, and materials.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and Occupational Heath and Safety (OHS) guidelines.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in construction management software and tools.
  • Comfortable using technology to enhance project efficiency
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
