The Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for a customer-oriented Service Dispatcher to join our team in Kitchener, Ontario. As the Service Dispatcher, you will be responsible for the coordination of Service jobs, including scheduling and assigning work to Technicians, and ensuring that services offered meet or exceed the requirements of internal and external customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Service Dispatcher, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling, coordinating, and assigning jobs to Service Technicians
  • Managing new and ongoing work orders using an ERP system
  • Utilizing the service scheduler to prioritize and schedule appointments
  • Communicating with Service and Parts team members to ensure workloads are optimized, and customer needs are managed proactively
  • Managing incoming job leads using established processes
  • Maintaining professional and effective communication with customers
  • Managing the WIP Report and billing for customers, including reviewing invoice proposals for accuracy
  • Ensuring adherence to safety programs and initiatives, and ensuring incident reports are completed when needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

  • At least two years of previous work experience related to dispatching or scheduling
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A customer-oriented mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers at all levels
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands in parallel

The base pay range for this role is: $49,000 to $56,000 per year, depending on experience.

This is an onsite role based in Kitchener, Ontario.
