About the Role

Carpet Studio is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Showroom Coordinator to join our team in Edmonton. This entry-level position is ideal for someone passionate about interior design, materials, and customer experience—a perfect first step for graduates looking to launch their career in the flooring and interiors industry.

You'll be the heart of our showroom operations, helping customers, supporting sales staff, maintaining displays, and creating engaging social media content that showcases our products and brand.

Key Responsibilities

Showroom & Display Management

  • Coordinate, label, and maintain flooring samples and product display racks

  • Keep the showroom organized, clean, and visually appealing for customers

  • Set up vendor displays, seasonal presentations, and promotions

Customer Experience & Sales Support

  • Greet and assist walk-in clients and answer inbound calls

  • Support sales staff with product selections, sample preparation, and order

coordination

  • Learn the basics of flooring materials, product types, and applications over time

Administrative Support

  • Use Microsoft 365 and Job Runner for project tracking, data entry, and

scheduling

  • Assist with documentation, quotes, and order follow-ups

  • Coordinate product knowledge sessions with vendor representatives

Digital & Social Media Coordination

  • Create and post short-form content (Reels, TikToks, Stories, etc.) to highlight

projects, products, and promotions

  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to grow Carpet Studio's online

presence

  • Capture content from showroom updates, client installs, and vendor visits

Qualifications

Education

  • Recent graduate or soon-to-be graduate from NAIT or University of Alberta's

Interior Design program (or similar design discipline)

Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent organization, communication, and multitasking skills

  • Strong eye for aesthetics and design details

  • Comfortable with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

  • Confident using social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Meta, etc.)

  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to learn the flooring industry

Experience

  • Prior flooring or construction experience not required — training provided

  • Previous customer service, retail, or design studio experience is an asset

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $40,000 – $50,000 per year (based on experience)

  • Benefits: Full benefits package after 3-month probation (health, dental, vision)

  • Paid training, mentorship, and opportunities for advancement

  • Growth path to Sales Assistant and/or eventually Sales Representative / Project
