Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting dentists during procedures, managing patient interactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily clinical activities. Experience with dental software such as Akitu One, as well as familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology, will be highly valued. Duties

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
  • Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including orthodontics and pediatrics
  • Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
  • Manage patient records using dental software
  • Provide post-treatment instructions to patients and answer their questions
  • Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns during appointments
  • Perform administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment in compliance with health regulations

Qualifications

  • Certification in Dental Assisting from an accredited program or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with dental software
  • Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology is highly desirable
  • Experience with CAD systems for digital imaging is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent patient care
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Prior experience in a dental setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety
