Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Locksmith Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in locksmithing, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing technical skills in lock installation, repair, and security systems. As an apprentice, you will work closely with experienced locksmiths to gain practical knowledge and industry insights.

Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced locksmiths with installing, repairing, and maintaining locks and security systems.
  • Learn to operate locksmith tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Conduct routine inspections of locks and security devices to identify issues.
  • Support the preparation of work sites, including measuring and fitting of doors and hardware.
  • Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical components of security systems.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures during job execution.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Complete training modules and certifications as required for skill development.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of electrical components; familiarity with ohmmeters is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to follow instructions carefully and learn technical procedures quickly.
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
  • Willingness to work in various environments, including outdoor settings.
  • Prior experience or background in electrical or mechanical fields is advantageous but not required. This position provides valuable industry experience for individuals interested in pursuing a career as a professional locksmith or security technician.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
