International African Arts, Crafts and Culture Fair (IAACCF)
is a vibrant multicultural event that celebrates the richness, creativity, and diversity of African heritage and its global influence. Based in Canada, the fair brings together artists, craftsmen, performers, cultural practitioners, and audiences from around the world to showcase authentic African art, design, music, fashion, and traditions. Role Summary
Event Runners play a vital support role in ensuring the smooth operation and successful delivery of the International African Arts, Crafts and Culture Fair (IAACCF). They assist various departments and participants throughout the event, acting as flexible, on-the-ground problem solvers. Their responsibilities include setting up and maintaining event spaces, assisting exhibitors and performers, managing materials and supplies, handling last-minute tasks, and providing general support to the event management team.
Event Runners are energetic, reliable, and resourceful individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Their hands-on involvement contributes to the overall efficiency, organization, and positive experience of all attendees, artists, and partners involved in the fair.
We need event runners for the IAACCF event on Sunday,14th December 2025 at the Wychwood Barns, 601 Christie St. Toronto ON Canada. 9am to 8pm (you are free to choose the number of hours you want to volunteer). Food and stipends shall be provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist with event setup, logistics, and breakdown.
- Support exhibitors, artists, and performers with coordination needs.
- Deliver materials, documents, and supplies across event areas.
- Respond promptly to requests from the event management team.
- Help manage attendee flow and provide directions or information.
- Ensure event spaces remain organized and safe throughout the fair.
- Perform general errands and resolve on-site issues efficiently.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- High level of organization and time management.
- Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing needs.
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Friendly and empathetic
- Previous event or festival experience is an asset.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a
high school diploma or equivalent, high school students are eligible to apply. - Prior experience
volunteering or working at events, festivals, or exhibitions preferred but not mandatory. - Residing in Toronto , Ontario is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a
fast-paced, multicultural environment
. - Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills
with a friendly and professional approach. - Physically able to perform light lifting, moving materials, and standing for extended periods.
- Dependable,
punctual, and proactive
with strong problem-solving skills. - Flexibility to work
evenings, weekends, and extended hours
during the event.
