We are looking for a part-time housekeeper / cleaner to help a stay-at-home mom 2-3 afternoons during the week 2-7pm and on Sunday afternoon for a few hours.

We need help with cleaning and organizing our home (please note, this is not a babysitting job - we are not looking for help with the kids).

We have babies at home, and a lot of house cleaning and organizing, related to the babies. We need help with all the house items a mother has to do while she is at home, taking care of the kids.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, extensive detail-oriented, punctual, responsive to feedback, and diligent. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, time management, and effective communication skills.

Start Date: In a few weeks or months.

Location: River Oaks, Oakville, ON.

Responsibilities

  • Kitchen organizing and cleaning
  • Hand washing many kitchen and baby items
  • Cleaning table after every meal
  • Keeping the kitchen and house neat and in order
  • Dishwasher loading and unloading
  • Laundry
  • Kids' play area cleaning and organizing
  • Kids' rooms cleaning and organizing
  • Clothes folding and organizing
  • Toys organizing and toys cleaning
  • Frequent meal prep: washing food, peeling, dicing, chopping, etc.
  • Prepare light meals or snacks when required
  • Follow written daily list of tasks
  • Ask questions when something is unclear
  • Manage time effectively to complete tasks within designated schedules
  • Deep clean of the whole house every 2 weeks.

Requirements:

You must be able to:

  1. Work on a payroll with a T4 tax slip (no cash).

  2. Provide at least 2 references from a previous employer.

  3. Provide details about any gaps in your resume.

  4. Provide an unexpired Ontario ID.

  5. Provide a government document with a current address (could be a drivers license).

  6. Provide a police background check.

  7. Legally authorized to work in Canada.

  8. Have access to a phone while working: most communication will be done via text or a phone app.

Qualifications

  • Reliable, extremely detail-oriented, able to switch priorities and multitask, punctual, responsive to feedback, and diligent.
  • Follow a written daily list of tasks (usually sent over email or text message)

  • Previous work experience in customer service or housekeeping is required

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and ensuring guest satisfaction.
