London, Ontario, Canada St. Leonard's Full time

SLCS is currently seeking a full-time Housing Stability Worker for Project Home, a housing first program.   Project Home focuses on housing adults and youth who have experienced chronic homelessness, anchoring them in their community, and establishing a sense of belonging through the provision of assertive and intensive housing first case management. As a member of this team, you will provide assessment, crisis intervention, and housing stability/homeless prevention support services to individuals in the city of London.

Working within a multifaceted team, you will manage a caseload, and work directly with program participants to support the establishment of personal goals, which focus on accessing safe, secure housing and remaining stably housed, as well as connecting to community services to support long-term goals.  You will be responsible for advocating on behalf of participants and liaising with other services (i.e. emergency shelters, community organizations, health care services, income supports, as well as the legal system) to coordinate care for individuals. As a member of the Project Home team, you will contribute to the ongoing development of the program, and to the broader citywide homeless services system.

As an SLCS employee, you will be responsible for the safety and security of program participants, co-workers and community during your employment. You will work collaboratively with other team members and community partners to complete administrative functions for the program.

This position requires excellent time management, strong organizational skills as well as the ability to multitask.  You will also have strong written, verbal and social skills to interact with the many personalities we support on a daily basis.  The role is community-based and you will be expected to regularly travel within the London community. The schedule for Project Home would be working mainly Monday – Friday on a rotation of 9am – 5:30pm and 10:30am – 7pm, with one weekend from 10am – 6pm in a 4-week rotation.
