Position Available

We have openings for 4th Class Power Engineers within the company.

Location: To Be Determined (Numerous Plants in Newfoundland)

Position Responsibilities

As 4th Class Power Engineer, your main responsibility is to operate the engine room in a safe and efficient manner. You will do this by:

  • Taking direction from the Chief Engineer
  • Completing unplanned maintenance and preventative maintenance
  • Operate and maintain both screw and recip compressors
  • Operate and maintain steam boilers
  • Operate and maintain ice machines
  • Operate and maintain freezers
  • Operate and maintain compressed air systems
  • Take part in maintaining the mechanical integrity of our systems
  • Help with machinery installation and maintenance as required
  • Providing a safe environment for our employees
  • Wear required PPE and follow safety guidelines
  • Some overtime on short notice may be required

Your Qualifications

  • 4th class Power Engineering Certificate
  • Experience working in a fish processing plant is an advantage but not a necessity
  • Experience with boilers and ammonia refrigeration is an advantage
  • Experience and knowledge of general plant maintenance
