About the Role

UntoldCine is looking for a 
Full Stack Engineer
 to help lead the development of 
UMDb (Untold Movie Database)
 — a platform built to bring filmmakers, actors, and industry creatives together. You'll own both frontend and backend development, working directly with leadership to shape product architecture, improve performance, and scale the platform for growth.

This isn't just another coding role — you'll help set the standard for how our engineering team builds, ships, and scales software that impacts real creators worldwide.

What You'll Do

Development & Architecture

  • Design and build scalable full-stack applications using 
    React, TypeScript, , and MongoDB
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs with clean, documented endpoints (OpenAPI/Swagger)
  • Design and optimize MongoDB schemas for performance and data integrity
  • Create responsive, accessible UI components with React 18, TailwindCSS
    , and modern frontend best practices
  • Implement backend services with , TypeScript, and integrate 
    AWS (S3, CloudFront, EC2)
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production deployment workflows

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Participate in technical design discussions and guide architectural decisions
  • Collaborate closely with design, product, and content teams to bring new features to life
  • Conduct code reviews, establish development standards, and mentor other developers
  • Break down features into clear, actionable development tasks

What You Bring

  • 5+ years
     of full-stack experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Deep knowledge of 
    React
     (Hooks, Context API, state management)
  • Solid backend experience with 
    , , MongoDB/Mongoose
  • Experience deploying and scaling apps using AWS (S3, CloudFront, EC2)
  • Expertise in RESTful API design and OpenAPI documentation
  • Understanding of authentication systems (JWT, OAuth 2.0)
  • Experience integrating payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, etc.)
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and API design best practices
  • Experience with production monitoring and logging tools
