Position: Quality Engineer

Location- Toronto (hybrid)

Exp- 8-10 years

Must have strong python skills

Must have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in QA automation testing, with a strong focus on web-based applications and RESTful APIs, along with solid manual testing experience.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with hands-on experience in writing automated tests using Pytest. Demonstrate ability to write clean, scalable code for both UI and API automation.
  • Has good knowledge of frameworks, libraries, error handling, data structures, reporting extensions, logging etc.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, including resolving environmental issues and integrating with cloud platforms.
  • Good understanding of Microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Web Socket etc.
  • Proficient with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience of using API testing tools such as Postman and Swagger.
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, including joins, for backend data validation.
  • Experience in developing and executing manual and automated testing processes to ensure high software quality.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins or any other tool.
  • Collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure all software changes are properly tested before release.
  • Skilled in analyzing test results, identifying quality trends, and providing actionable feedback to development teams.
  • Excellent understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Good to have

  • Programming experience in other languages such as Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Experience with modern automation tools like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium WebDriver.
  • Exposure to trading platforms and familiarity with various client offerings in the fintech domain.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with performance testing tools and techniques, especially JMeter.
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with security testing and vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Basic understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with cryptocurrency and trading systems.
