Bartenders provide positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. They play an integral role in ensuring our customers have an exceptional dining experience by providing food and beverages for patrons and serving them throughout the restaurant and bar while following all territorial and local laws and company policies. RESPONSIBILITIES**Employee Housing is not available.**
- Mix and serve drinks following set standard recipes.
- Assist with serving tables, taking food & drink orders, running food & drinks, etc.
- Organizing and setting up the workspace before, during, and after each shift. Including stocking, cleaning, sanitizing, prep work, and proper maintaining of all bar equipment.
- Knowledgeable present menus and recommendations to guests.
- Greet and welcome guests to the restaurant while maintaining a professional appearance.
- Operate a computerized point of sale system, completing financial transactions accurately, making changes, and running credit cards.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work and storage areas. Inclusive of routine washroom checks and restocking of needed items via washroom checklist.
- Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23 kg.
- Must be able to assist with serving tables, and running food/drinks.
- BARS Training/Certification is an asset.
- Minimum age of 19 years is required to serve alcohol in the Yukon.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Basic math abilities must have the ability to process financial transactions, company vouchers, group sales, etc.
- Ability to pose excellent customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment. You must also have the ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail and accuracy, and supervise and manage staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
- Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
- Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
