Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Marine (Yacht) Electrician who can diagnose, install, and maintain a wide range of marine electrical systems. The ideal candidate has proven experience working on yachts or other marine vessels, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair marine electrical systems, including AC/DC wiring, batteries, chargers, alternators, inverters, and lighting systems.
  • Install and service navigation, communication, and control systems (e.g. GPS, radar, VHF, NMEA 2000, etc.).
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and upgrades of marine electrical components and circuits.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Maintain detailed service documentation and ensure compliance with safety and marine electrical standards.
  • Collaborate with technicians and mechanics in a team-driven, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on marine/yacht electrician experience.
  • Strong understanding of marine AC/DC systems, batteries, inverters, and electronics integration.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently.
  • Experience with navigation and communication systems (Raymarine, Garmin, Simrad, etc.) preferred.
  • Ethical, punctual, and detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be legally eligible to work in Canada.
