Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Marine (Yacht) Electrician who can diagnose, install, and maintain a wide range of marine electrical systems. The ideal candidate has proven experience working on yachts or other marine vessels, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair marine electrical systems, including AC/DC wiring, batteries, chargers, alternators, inverters, and lighting systems.
- Install and service navigation, communication, and control systems (e.g. GPS, radar, VHF, NMEA 2000, etc.).
- Conduct inspections, testing, and upgrades of marine electrical components and circuits.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Maintain detailed service documentation and ensure compliance with safety and marine electrical standards.
- Collaborate with technicians and mechanics in a team-driven, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on marine/yacht electrician experience.
- Strong understanding of marine AC/DC systems, batteries, inverters, and electronics integration.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently.
- Experience with navigation and communication systems (Raymarine, Garmin, Simrad, etc.) preferred.
- Ethical, punctual, and detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be legally eligible to work in Canada.
