Position: Manager, IT Hospitality Technology

Department: Information Technology

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, IT Hospitality Technology will manage the Hospitality IT Technology unit for Toptable Group and its sister companies, Canucks Sports & Entertainment and Aquilini Group, including but not limited to planning, installing, and maintaining integrations, leading to successful implementation and outcomes within IT hospitality technology products. Additionally, the candidate will work on future planning and budgeting for the organization relating to IT hospitality and client services. This hands-on role will develop and execute creative strategies for cost-effective technology service delivery and will be accountable for the effective management of all related vendor partnerships and any other services that will benefit Toptable, Canucks Sports & Entertainment and Aquilini Group.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage IT Hospitality Analyst team members in their daily duties of attending to customers and clients providing service first culture.
  • Manage budget and key initiatives relating to Hospitality Division at Top Table, Aquilini Group, and CSE
  • Management of F&B digital signage relating to IPTV distribution services, including content support
  • Act as a co-leader in IPTV digital signage providing maintenance, upgrades, and support
  • Lead, manage, grow a team of professionals relating to IT Hospitality services.
  • Provide performance coaching and guidance in the professional development of direct reports.
  • Manage a team that leads to success of hospitality components including POS, retail, mobile payments, financial reporting systems and food and beverage warehouse technology.
  • Lead and manage project planning, management, and execution to ensure successful delivery of Hospitality Technology projects.
  • Develop, direct, and manage Hospitality technology plans, schedules, policies, projects, programs, and budgets.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments to identify and analyze problems.
  • Manage and maintain IT Hospitality technical documentation, process, and procedures for the team.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology or business-related discipline, with 5 years of experience in related roles within Hospitality and/or Retail industry
  • A minimum 2-3 years' experience in and a strong knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems, payment processing software, retail software is mandatory
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively translate complex technology concepts into accessible business terms.
  • Digital Signage, IPTV services (experience plus)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills.
  • Highly organized and detailed, with the ability to balance priorities and multitask.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills with an ability to interact in a professional and friendly manner with end users at all levels within the organization.
  • Solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills coupled with a willingness to learn.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work flexible, extended hours, as required.
