Senior Buyer/Purchasing Manager
with a strong understanding of purchasing principles and deep expertise in industrial manufacturing and fabrication processes—including machining, welding, and powder coating. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES


• Lead procurement and purchasing of raw materials and hardware (e.g., sheet metal, tubing, powder coat, welding supplies, fasteners).


• Build and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality, pricing, and timely delivery.


• Drive supplier strategy, including onboarding, auditing, and price negotiations.


• Prepare bid packages and lead negotiations to secure favorable terms.


• Oversee purchasing team and provide guidance for further development


• Manage supplier contracts and pursue cost-saving initiatives.


• Coordinate inventory planning and accuracy across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles.


• Partner with Accounting to analyze material and production costs.


• Collaborate across departments (Sales, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing) to support supplier and material transitions.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR


• 3+ years' experience in a progressive purchasing, supply chain, or strategic sourcing position - ideally in industrial or steel manufacturing.


• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management is an asset.


• Demonstrated expertise in sourcing suppliers, contract negotiation, and supplier performance.


• Familiarity with ERP systems is required.


• Hands-on understanding of manufacturing operations and materials flow.


• Proven leadership skills and ability to drive change in fast-paced environments.
