School Specialty Coffee strives to introduce people to the world of specialty coffee. We offer single origin coffees from excellent Canadian roasters, along with all of the traditional cafe drinks and pastries. Located in Mapleview Mall, we have a large retail section including coffee beans, teas and coffee accessories. Above all, we are nice people.

We are seeking a seasonal team member to help us handle the holiday shopping rush. Most of your time at work will be spent offering samples to every person who walks past our store. You must be comfortable engaging with people, speaking loud and clear and, more importantly, do so with a smile and a friendly tone. You will also help take orders, serve pastries and lend a hand with whatever task makes the team function smoothly and efficiently.

A coffee enthusiast is ideal. Someone who knows what Specialty Coffee means? Even better. More importantly, someone who is friendly, charismatic and extroverted who is comfortable with sales and customer service.

Requirements, skills and abilities:

  • Friendly and charismatic.
  • Strong teamwork personality with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Have confidence offering samples to passersby and engaging with them on topic of specialty coffee.
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine sense of humour and kindness, thoughtfulness for team and customer and positive attitude.
  • Cash handling skills

Tips additional.

Holiday mall hours: Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 9 pm. Sunday 10 am to 6 pm. Weekends are a must. Boxing day is a must.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
