Overview

We are seeking a craftsperson with entry-level carpentry and labourer experience to assist in building/finishing doors, general labour, and assisting with delivery of doors and windows.

We are looking for ana individual to join our team and help support our production as a door hanger, labourer and delivery person. The applicant will need to be flexible to work in all areas as needed. Good communication skills and organization are a must in this team environment. Woodworking skills using tools and safety equipment, knowledge reading a tape measure and using manufacturing tools/equipment are important, but training can be provided to the right candidate. Looking for an individual who is motivated, dedicated and team oriented.

Core Skills and Qualifications

  • Mathematical aptitude and understanding of imperial measurements to 1/16th of an inch (reading a tape measure accurately)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Experience working with manufacturing tools and equipment (such as door machine, chop saw and hand drill)
  • Able to bend/stand/be on feet for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • Loading/Unloading of trucks (both manually and with a forklift)
  • General housekeeping and warehouse duties, as directed by management
  • Leadership skills
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Ability to deliver superior customer service while out on deliveries
  • Forklift operator certification (or willing to be certified)
  • Door industry experience would be and asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
