Bob Rumball Home for the Deaf Housekeeping Aide

Location: Barrie

As a Housekeeping Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents. Your contributions will directly support our mission of providing exceptional care in a nurturing atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks in resident rooms and common areas.
  • Ensure all areas are sanitized and maintained to high standards.
  • Assist with laundry duties as needed.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
  • Collaborate with staff to meet the needs of residents effectively.
  • Uphold confidentiality and respect for residents' privacy.
  • Participate in training sessions, including American Sign Language courses.
  • Foster a positive environment through effective communication.
  • Qualifications
  • Previous custodial experience preferred.
  • Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, especially with diverse populations.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Physical capability to perform heavy lifting as required.
  • Customer service orientation is an asset.
